Ronald E. McNair Scholars Program

The Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program is funded by the U.S. Department of Education that prepares undergraduate students like myself for doctoral studies. In order to be eligible, participants must be low-income, first-generation college students and/or must come from under-represented disadvantaged backgrounds. I work alongside faculty mentors Dr. Stephens and Dr. Madhivanan who guide me through my research experience. The McNair Program staff assist me with the graduate school application process and GRE preparation. This program has encouraged and educated me in the path to enrollment in graduate programs (Ph.D.). The goal of the program is to increase the attainment of Ph.D. degrees by students from under-represented segments of society.

The McNair Program has supported me in funding my research project and supported me while in India.
