Mysore Palace
The entrance to Mysore Palace alone is a beautiful piece of architecture. Upon entering we knew we were in for a treat.
This beauty of a palace was once home to the Wodeyars, rulers of Mysore from 1399-1950. This Indo-Saracenic Revival palace conserves energy by only lighting up 1 hour a week.
This picture was taken after the final call was given for the group to leave. I asked a friend to please take a photo of me sitting on the barricade even if it meant that we would lose the group.

Food

Every morning for one month I looked forward to the breakfast at Urban Oasis. This was my one non spicy meal of the day, my stomach and taste buds were very appreciative.
Lalitha Mahal is another palace in Mysore that is both a restaurant and a hotel. We were so hungry that the entree's did not make it for a picture.
